Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of RideRooster (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use RideRooster. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Your account

You are responsible for safeguarding access to your phone number and account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.

SMS communications

RideRooster sends two distinct kinds of SMS, with separate consent:

1. Sign-in verification codes. Required for account use. By entering your phone number to sign in, you consent to receive a 6-digit verification code.

2. RideRooster Alerts (optional program). Brand name: RideRooster Alerts. If you opt in, RideRooster Alerts include ride reminders, driver assignment updates, schedule changes, and ride cancellations. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help. You can opt in or out at any time in Settings. Using RideRooster does not require opting in to Alerts.

Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful purposes
• Send spam or unsolicited messages through invitations or carpool features
• Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its security features
• Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others

Carpool coordination

RideRooster is a coordination tool only. We do not provide transportation services, employ drivers, verify driver qualifications, or perform background checks. Coordination, drop-off, child safety, and adult supervision are the sole responsibility of carpool members. You agree that RideRooster is not liable for any incident, injury, loss, or damage arising from carpool activities organized through the Service.

Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

Service availability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RideRooster disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will RideRooster be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
